Here are a few more phrases I've heard a lot since being here that I will try to incorporate into my vocabulary:
"How ya goin?"
"Good on you!"
"That's right."
"G-day (obviously)"
"Cheers mate! (another obvious one)"
"I reckon..."
"No dramas."
"I'm keen"
There are a few other phrases that are just strange and different. For example:
"I like the cut of your jib" means, I like your style
"Skull it" means "down it" (as in your drink)
It's funny, after you say something and people are like, what is that, you start to question to origin of some of the everyday phrases you use. Like here, bangs (hair) is called fringe. Why is it called bangs, I have no idea. Haaha. So it's been a lot of explaining words and having words explained to me.
