Home for the Holidays

After 8 months down under, I went home for the holidays.

When I had booked my flight to Oz, the return cheap was just a few more hundred than a one way, so I decided to go back to LA for Xmas and New Years.

It was an awesome trip! I got to spend time with my family and my cutie pie nieces, caught out up with old friends, and ate all the yummy things that I can't get here in Sydney.

My dad picked me up from the airport and my first request was to go to In-N-Out for a burger and fries, or "hot chips" as they say here in Oz.  It was yummy!

The rest of my trip included dinner with my girls at Shakas. Hawaiian food was another thing that I can't get in Australia and missed so much. I was so busy eating Mexican food before I left, I didn't even consider Hawaiian.  The closer thing I can get here is Hawaiian pizza!

I always got my Mexican fix, having dinner with Gina, Susan, Tiff and Casey at Don Antonio's. The meal was delicious, got my crispy chicken taco and chicken enchilad and margarita for $15. That would have cost like $35-40 in Oz and it wouldn't be half as yummy.

I got my Orrochon Ramen fix as well as grubbing on some Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

My cousin Jenny, her two kids Adam and Heather and my Aunt Betty came to visit from Sydney, so there were many family gatherings with loads of eating!

Lisa and Luke hosted an awesome brunch on New Years Eve at their fabulous new place. Got to catch up with my Pepperdine peeps.

Then me and Meggie headed off to the happiest place on earth for NYE.

On my last day, my mommy made her yummy Pho, which I happily ate.  Overall an awesome trip spent with the people I love!
